Grand Theft Auto V Release Date Is On September 17, 2013

Rockstar Games has announced that GTA V will have a worldwide release date of September 17, 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Rockstar Games have yet to confirm that GTA V will be available for Xbox 720 or PS4. It’s expected for the next-gen consoles to launch this Fall, and with Grand Theft Auto 5 pushing their release date from Spring to now September, it’s possible we can see GTA V launch on PS4 and the next Xbox this year.

Today, we have an official release date to share with you: Grand Theft Auto V will arrive in stores on September 17, 2013.

We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time. GTAV is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require.

To all Grand Theft Auto fans, please accept our apologies for the delay, and our promise that the entire team here is working very hard to make the game all it can be. We are doing all we can to help ensure it will meet if not exceed your expectations come September – we thank you for your support and patience.

Rockstar Games Announces GTA V Release Date

Rockstar Games has confirmed rumors of Grand Theft Auto V’s release date. A promotional promoter from UK retailer GAME leaked on October 27 that originally revealed the Spring 2013 release date for GTA V.

Rockstar Games later confirmed with a promotional graphic of their own that the release date will be between late March and June of next year.

GTA V Gets Release Date By GameStop Ireland

Following the shocking announcement of Grand Theft Auto V from Rockstar Games this afternoon, GameStop Ireland has made an announcement of their own. They have published an expected GTA V release date of September 2, 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

No information about GTA V has been announced by Rockstar Games except that an official trailer will be released on November 2.

GTA V Rumored For Winter 2012 Release

Grand Theft Auto V won’t hit retail shelves until winter of 2012 at the earliest claims Cowen & Company analyst Doug Creutz. He wrote in an investors note that GTA V could have a negative impact on sales for Max Payne 3 if both titles launch dates are of close proximity.

“With the announcement, we are increasingly convinced that we will not see the next Grand Theft Auto title until (at least) holiday 2012. We doubt that Rockstar would launch two of its titles in close proximity to each other given the studio’s elaborate marketing campaigns and the likelihood that GTA could cannibalize sales from MP3 if launched in late spring.”

There is still no announcement from Rockstar Games concerning GTA V.
